- AggregateRating
- A schema.org rating that summarises multiple reviews into one score and count, used by search engines to show star ratings in results.
- Anchor text
- The clickable words used in a hyperlink. Descriptive anchor text helps readers and search engines understand the linked page.
- Answer engine
- A search tool that returns a direct answer rather than a list of links. Examples include ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity.
- Astrarow Group
- The parent group that operates ISITWORK and a portfolio of related web ventures and brands.
- Backlink
- A link from one website to another. Quality backlinks signal trust and can improve search rankings.
- Breadcrumb
- A navigation trail that shows a page position within a site hierarchy. It can also be marked up with BreadcrumbList schema.
- Canonical URL
- The preferred address for a page. It tells search engines which version to index when similar content exists at several URLs.
- Category page
- A page that groups related listings, such as Design and Graphics or Translation, to help visitors browse by topic.
- Conversion rate
- The share of visitors who complete a desired action, such as sending an enquiry or placing an order.
- Core Web Vitals
- A set of Google metrics for loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability that affect user experience and ranking.
- Directory
- A structured list of businesses or services. ISITWORK is a directory and storefront for the United States market.
- E-E-A-T
- Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. A framework Google uses to assess content quality.
- Freelancer
- An independent professional who offers services to clients on a project basis rather than as an employee.
- Generative Engine Optimization
- The practice of preparing content so that AI answer engines can find, understand, and cite it. Often shortened to GEO.
- Indexing
- The process by which a search engine stores and organises pages so they can appear in results.
- Keyword research
- The study of the words and questions people type into search, used to guide content and page structure.
- Landing page
- A focused page built to turn visitors into leads or customers for a single offer or service.
- Listing
- A single service, business, or article page on ISITWORK that customers can view, review, and contact.
- Local SEO
- Optimisation that helps a business appear for searches tied to a place, such as a city or neighbourhood.
- Meta description
- A short summary of a page shown under its title in search results. It influences click-through, not ranking directly.
- Open Graph
- Tags that control how a page appears when shared on social platforms, including the title, description, and image.
- Organic traffic
- Visitors who arrive from unpaid search results rather than from ads.
- Schema markup
- Structured data added to a page, in formats such as JSON-LD, that helps search engines understand its meaning.
- SERP
- The Search Engine Results Page. It lists the links, snippets, and features returned for a query.
- Sitemap
- A file that lists a site key pages, and often their images, to help search engines discover and crawl them.
- SSL
- A security standard that encrypts data between a browser and a server. Sites that use it are served over HTTPS.
- Structured data
- Machine-readable information about a page, usually expressed with schema.org vocabulary, that enables rich results.
- Vendor
- A freelancer or business that offers a service on ISITWORK. Buyers contact the vendor directly to place an order.
